In class today we turned in our letters also we watched a video on soldiers that come home but have some illness due to the war. It was really interesting and very sad to me.
To prepare for tomorrow Im brinigng in color markers to decorate more letters to the solilders to make them look nice. Also think about what else to write in the letters.

In class we wrote our letters and discussed how to make this project better.
What i did to prepare was that  I thought about how else I can help out to get letters to people. Also I thought about writing more letters to our soildiers.

Today in class my team and I went to a classroom to get the word out on thw 1000 letter for our troops. It went well, im glad we are taking the time to do this.

To prepare for tomorrow in class basicly Im just guna finish my letter that I started writing in class. Im guna see what ellse I can add on to it to make it better.And maybe go another round in a class room to get the word out about our letters.

Today in class I was preparing for my group and I's speach, I was writing down what was on the board and what I should say.
To prepare for tomorrow Im writing everything down, like a final draft of my speech to give to classmates tomorrow during class.

In class I finished my posters, by adding glitter on to it. To give it a spark to make it look prettier.
To prepare my self for next time, I was thinking on how I can write a really nice touching letter to a troop basicy I was brainstorming my ideas.

service learnig project

Today in class I started doing posters with my classmate. We did like six of them it was pretty fun !For tomorrow im bringing in some of my color markers and glitter sticks to make the posters stand out more. Im looking forward for tomorrow to continue working on our projects.

this project that were about to do, im looking forward to doing it. If helping out anyone in anyway making them happy im willing to do whatever I can do make that happen. Our class coming together as one to plan out what we are going to do is great. I love the idea of writing to a troop, theyve done so much for us they deserve us to do a little bit in our part just to say thank you. Also some people and I are looking forward going to an elderly home and making them christmas cards and us personaly giving them our christmas cards. Its really sad to see that sometimes there own family members dont vistit them, so for us going and we can make the chance to  make them smile means alot to me. After everything it sure will make  me very glad to give back to people.

Viral Campaign

I choose a video on job marketing. Tom Perriello a Virginia representative made a video on jobs and the economy being the biggest issue for voters this fall. I think this issue is important because many people have lost their jobs and have a difficult time trying to get one. Even though they have their degrees which is rediculous. The economy is also a big issue in the country. Many people have lost their jobs due to the economy beacuse the companies simply cant continue paying workers. We defetinely need to change something to change these situations.We can at least try to make something work. There needs to be improvent !

Teacher Interview

I interview Mrs. Schiessel ,
I asked her couple questions ,
How does she think students can improve on their education
she responded students who are willing  to learn and improve on their education will do what ever it takes to learn and improve , thats in them to want to do it.
i asked her if she thought if school should be started later so that students would be or alert in class.
yes, defitenly test show that starting school later will make a difference in how students are aware in class
One thing that she would change to make this school a better place would be smaller class sizes so the teachers can work more with the students that need the help
I asked if she believes students that fail a class has some what something to do with the teachers teaching
She had said no it has to do with the students and them wanting to learn but there is some students that might in that case fail because of a teachers teaching.
She does beileve students are getting enough education as i asked her.
Another queston I asked was After so many absenses should a student get dropped out automatically,
She thought it was a good idea and should look into it.
One way of uniting our school together would be smaller classes.
She does agree with the schools requirements to graduate.
In her pespective lunch should be as long as class time, lunch is simply to short.

Last night i went to the board of education meeting and it was pretty amazing. At first I went there thinking it was going to be boaring beacause as soon as I got there , there were many old people. Students would go up there from three different schools and say whats going on there school. That didnt interst me as when the teachers from different schools started to speak up. They actually were talking about there personal issues and I never thought teachers were in this situation with money issues and loosing there houses and such. It amazed me, I honestly thought teachers were well of but I guess not. They were talking about the schools  how theres too many students one class room and its difficult for teachers to even help them out individualy. Now going to the meeting I have a different perspective on teachers, it changed my thoughts about them completely! It sadden me completely hearing the staff stories, there trying to do what ever it takes to make students better in school and I truly believe them.

Reflection

In class this week we had a class discussion about the sb 1070 law. It was pretty intersting in my point of view. Many people had different opinions and it made me be undecidive with my opinion. At first coming in the disscussion i totally disagreed with the law. To me it was like a races point of view mostly focusing to the mexican race. As other people began to give there point of view in a way it changed my point of view. Some said they agree with the law because no matter what its the law ! Someone else had mentioned that its not fair for the children to come over here if later on they can get deported. I can agree with everyones point of views. Also i think why can we give immigrants a chance to get a better life. Everyone deserves a chance. Especially mexican people, basically they are the ones who do all the hard labor in work. You don't see other race doing as much work as they do. They at least work for there money unlike other people! It was pretty cool to see what other people thought of this situation.

Mexico Violence

Drug trafficking  has been a big issue in Mexico. Recently its been really bad in witch many people have died. Many of the top police commanders have been assasinated. President  Felipe Calderón had anounced a assault on the cartels. Over the drug trafficking theres been an "high increasing" of methamphetamine due to the large drug scale in Mexico. In august 2010 there was a long pace of killing happening gand due to that they have backed off to try and stop this violence occuring. Earlier this month the government had reported that there was 28,228 people that had been killed since 2006, ever since the government took over.

I think this law they are trying to pass is ridiculous. In my opinion I dont think they should pass this law because I believe its really unnecessary to stop any one that looks suspecious. And have there Legal residents card at all times if not you will be taken away imideitaly. Theres bigger issues in my opinion rathere than to spend alot of money on this situaition they should waist money and their time in a bigger issue. There making a bigger issue than what it really is. Governer Jan Brewer just signed the bill for illegal imimgration. The law is to identify and deport illegal immigrants. In my opinion they should include more other races than just the mexican latino etc.

class discussion

In class today we had a discussion about the mosque. And what we thought about this situation. It was pretty interesting to me what my classmates had to say about this situation. Hearing what they had to say made me think about I agreed with and disagreed. I had to think about my point of view couple times. Now I can say im pretty confused with the situation. Everyones point of view was great. I learned so much just by listeing to what they had to say. It was a different experience because ive never done a class discussion before, but it was pretty cool hearing what other people though about the mosque being built near ground zero. Next time when having a class discussion i already know how to prepare better next time around.
